• New Dispute: ACJIC - New Dispute: Our privacy policy is clear: We will collect no personal information about you when you visit our website unless you choose to provide that information to us. We invite you to contact us if you have questions about this policy. We have the following privacy seals and/or dispute resolution mechanisms. If you think we have not followed our privacy policy in some way, first contact the webmaster at carla.scepaniak@alacop.gov. The following statute from the Code of Alabama (1975) may be helpful, too. Section 41-9-598 Appeals from rules and regulations promulgated by commission. The process for appeals by an individual or governmental body of any rules and regulations promulgated by the commission shall first be to the commission proper. The appellant may present his argument at a regular meeting of the commission requesting the alteration or suggesting the nonapplicability of a particular rule and/or regulation. If the appellant is not satisfied by the action of the commission, then an appeal may be made to the circuit court in Montgomery County. (Acts 1975, No. 872, §42)

Once you link to another site, you are subject to the privacy policy of the new site. Data collected from all Web users: access logs. Security 1. This is a State of Alabama computer system. All ACJIC computer systems are subject to monitoring at all times to ensure proper functioning of equipment and systems, including security devices, to prevent unauthorized use and violations of statutes and security regulations, to deter criminal activity, and for other similar purposes. If monitoring of this system reveals possible evidence of violations of criminal statutes, this evidence and any other related information, including identification of the user, may be provided to law enforcement officials. 2. This web site is provided as a service by the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center. 3. Information presented on this site is considered public information and may be distributed or copied. Use of appropriate byline/photo/image credits is requested. 4. For site management, information is collected for statistical purposes. This government computer system uses software programs to create summary statistics, which are used for such purposes as assessing what information is of most and least interest, determining technical design specifications, and identifying system performance or problem areas. 5. For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, this government computer system employs software programs to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage. 6. Unauthorized attempts to upload information or change information on this service are strictly prohibited and may be punishable under Alabama Code section 13A-8-100 (Computer Crime Act).
